Upcoming appearances, for one thing: over the next few months, they&#8217;re letting me out in public on three separate occasions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The BUG and I will be coappearing at the <a href=\"http:\/\/chiseries.com\/reading-series-peterborough\">Peterborough iteration<\/a> of the Chiaroscuro Reading Series, on the evening of March 3. (They don&#8217;t seem to have actually announced it on their site yet, but it&#8217;s getting pretty close to the wire so I&#8217;m jumping the gun in deference to the whole sufficient-warning thing.) If you&#8217;re unfamiliar with that term, the subtitle to the right should fill you in.\u00a0 Also there will be fractals. Other speakers include Alyx Dellamonica, Peter Chiykowski, Andrew Pyper, Michael Rowe\u2014 and Guest of Honor <em>Margaret Atwood<\/em>, delivering the keynote address &#8220;SF in my Life and Art&#8221;. (I&#8217;m guessing the S stands for &#8220;speculative&#8221;.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Traditionally these things have been held upstairs in a cozy little bar\/performance venue called <em>The Round<\/em>. This time they&#8217;re springing for the <a href=\"http:\/\/townhall.innis.utoronto.ca\/\">Innis Town Hall<\/a>, which is, well, somewhat bigger. Saturday, March 12, 9:30-5:00. Get your tickets soon, folks; this one is gonna sell out fast. And not because of ScArt.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finally, I&#8217;m going to be one of many Ghosts of GoHs Past at this year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ad-astra.org\/ad-astra-2016\/\">Ad Astra.<\/a> In honour of their 35th Anniversary, the organizers are trying to get as many past GoHs to show up as they can. I&#8217;m told I&#8217;m one of them, even though as of this writing they don&#8217;t seem to have put me on their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ad-astra.org\/panelists-2016\/\">list of panelists<\/a> here either (Between this and Peterborough, I&#8217;m starting to wonder if all these invitations are part of some great and cruel hoax&#8230;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">As chance would have it, Ad Astra&#8217;s <em>actual<\/em> Guests of Honour this year include Sandra Kasturi and Brett Savory, the implacable duo behind <a href=\"http:\/\/chizinepub.com\/\">ChiZine Press<\/a>, the Chiaroscuro Reading Series, <em>and<\/em> the SpecFic Colloquium. It&#8217;s a small world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">And Brett and Sandra rule most of it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visual.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A few more bits of fan art have accumulated since the last upload, oh, nigh on two months past.
